TexasLawHelp.org is dedicated to providing reliable legal information to help self-represented litigants navigate the legal system. Find do-it-yourself guides, articles, and forms created by legal professionals. Chat online with a law student, attorney, or paralegal in real time. They can help you better understand legal information on the website and—in some cases—provide legal advice for those who qualify.​

ELIGIBILITY 

 

​There are no eligibility requirements to access the site or to receive legal information through chat. All guides, articles, and information are free for everyone.

 

To receive legal advice through online chat:

 You must be a Texas resident. 
You must be at or below 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Texas Free Legal Answers is a question-and-answer website for legal advice. Post your civil legal question for free, and a pro bono attorney will answer your question.

ELIGIBILITY

 

You must not be in jail or prison.​

​

Your legal problem must not be related to a criminal charge.​

​

You must not have a lawyer to help you with your legal problem.

​

You must be an adult.​

​

Your household income must be at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
