Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Texas Free Legal Answers are teaming up with Entergy for a two-hour pro bono clinic on October 24.
On Tuesday, October 24, Entergy Corporation is giving back to its service area in conjunction with each state's Free Legal Answers site. Entergy attorneys from each state, along with law students and private firms in each state, including Duggins Wren Mann and Romero, LLP, from Texas, will work together to answer questions on Free Legal Answers. Other participating firms and law schools include Morgan Lewis, St. Mary’s School of Law, and Bradley.
Free Legal Answers is a virtual legal advice clinic in which qualifying users post civil legal questions to be answered by pro bono attorneys licensed in their state. Question topics include Family, Divorce, Custody, Housing, Eviction, Consumer Rights, Employment, Health, Disability, Civil Rights, Income Maintenance, and Education Law. Pro bono attorneys and clients work within the ABA Free Legal Answer platform to solve the client's legal issue.
Thus far in 2023, pro bono attorneys have answered more than 2,800 questions on Texas Free Legal Answers.
Texas Free Legal Answers is jointly administered by Texas Legal Services Center and the American Bar Association. Attorneys who wish to volunteer can sign up on the site to begin answering questions.
